Missing Summer

As Perth is well into a cold winter I find myself reminiscing about summer. I am always grateful for the cooler weather autumn brings but dread the those bleak winter months, although I know Perth doesn’t get a real winter compared to other parts of the world, it’s still rather frosty.  Here are a few shots from Bells Rapids in the Swan Valley taken on Australia Day this year. This summer was long and unrelenting, the water was scarce and only the bull ants and us were crazy enough to be out in the heat.
