Slip n Slide Summer | Perth Family Photographer
Summer is almost here YAY. Mostly for me this means first thing every morning being harassed by my daughter to get the Slip n Slide out. Without fail, first thing EVERY morning I wake to a little hand squishing my face and before I can even mutter a “good morning” I am greeted with “can we play slip n slide?” or “is it hot enough to play slip n slide today?” or “I don’t want to go to school today because I want to slip n slide” Every night at the dinner table our family tradition is each family member takes turns talking about what was the best and worst part of our day. Without fail always the day’s BEST is “playing with the slip n slide” or the WORST, “not being able to play with the slip n slide”.
Even though the nagging drives me batty, I must admit I do love slip n slide days when the whole family has a go. Seeing who can pull the most awesome tricks or go so fast they slide off the edge into the hedges. I think the slip n slide technology must have advanced over the years because I don’t remember them being this fun when I was a kid, it mostly resulted in me getting stuck half way down.
Winter was especially long this year, it was absolute torture to know the slip n slip was lying in the shed unused. Summer in Perth can be so long and exhausting, but backyard water sport has eased our pain.
