about

I believe every child deserves at least one beautiful photo of their mother but I also know being in front of the camera is one of the scariest things you can do. I’ve heard every excuse, “I’m not photogenic, I’m awkward in front of the camera or I need to lose weight,” or you may have had photos in the past that didn’t turn out how you’d hoped. I want you to know everyone has the same fear and I’m with you every step of the way, from planning what to wear to choosing the type of shoot that would suit you best. I even include professional hair and make up styling to have you looking and feeling your best. And I assure you, you don’t have to be photogenic, it’s my job to make you look amazing. I will direct you every step of the way and never leave you hanging, staring awkwardly into the camera. I promise to listen to what you want and I won’t judge you for wanting a little extra photoshop. Follow the link to view before and after shots HERE

But let’s go back, I want to tell you why I do what I do. I lost my sister suddenly in 2007 when she was only 31, now when it came time to find photos of her we scrambled for them, literally hunted with panic and hurt in our hearts. My sister, as a teenager had found her looks so unbearable – she despised her freckles with a passion and destroyed most photos of herself from this time and avoided the camera from then on. But what my teenage sister didn’t realise was that photos of her would become our family heirlooms, more precious than anything money could buy. Now like my sister we all have something we don’t like about ourselves but to your loved ones, especially your children it doesn’t matter, because to them you are already perfect. My family didn’t care that my sister didn’t look like a super model, to us, her looks were insignificant it was the person we loved. Photos of her helped heal us. PHOTOS CAN HEAL US and your family deserves to have you exist in photos.
